uman, the concept
uman is a new concept in Men’s Style that was launched in 2009 by Umberto Angeloni.
Man is uman’s primary inspiration. Man is conceived of as the reference, the starting and end-point; he is not merely a target consumer. uman seeks to build a community of like-minded individuals who share the same vision, passion, and culture. With uman the gentleman will find the timeless traces of the transformation of menswear, from around the globe and over the ages, brought into a contemporary perspective that perfectly blends form, function, aesthetics and value.
uman’s perspective is both philosophical and practical at the same time. Based on such appreciation and understanding of the centuries-long evolutionary process of men’s costume, uman’s objective is to create an “ideal wardrobe”. While pursuing the suit’s “perfect form”, uman will also create new styles of iconic jackets that derive from the gentleman’s multiple passions, discoveries, and sports, thereby completing a wardrobe that reflects his inquisitive mind and sophisticated lifestyle.
